Yes, another thing I made in the world. Some authors compare the process of launching a book to giving birth. Not I. There’s a certain pride, of course, but it’s the same feeling of accomplishment really that any craftsman feels when finishing a thing they toiled over.
The correct response to such an event is to pause and mark it with a strong drink, a lunch with friends, or some other indulgent pleasure. One will never be this young again, after all, or in this moment again, and who knows what triumphs or tragedies or failures the future will bring. As a great man says, it is best to treat those impostors just the same.

When I’m finished with my current series, I’ll be writing another trilogy based on the world you’re reading about in these novellas, and of course, the various characters will make their appearances.
Until then, I’m hard on work on the next installment of the Ash and Sand series, titled ‘King of Ash’. You will see a great deal of Ruka in this book, and (I promise), see his eventual clash with Kale, and let the world tremble…
My planned release is August but, failing that, by the end of the year. After that, the third book, and the conclusion of the tale, hopefully in 2019…

Yes! Looking forward to King of Ash. Ruka is honestly one of the most interesting characters I’ve ever read, his evolution through the first book from the lonely wolf boy in the woods to what he is now…amazing to read.
